Terms of Use

Welcome to The Pet’s Sphere at thepetssphere.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by The Pets Sphere (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Important pet health disclaimer. Please read.

The Site provides general information for educational purposes only. It is not veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not replace a consultation with a licensed veterinarian.

  • Every animal is different. Breed, age, weight, health conditions, medications, allergies, and the amount eaten all change whether a food or product is safe. An article that says a food is “safe” or “okay in moderation” may still be harmful to your pet.
  • Always ask your veterinarian before changing your pet’s diet, giving a new food, treat, supplement, or medication, or acting on anything you read here.
  • Never ignore professional veterinary advice, or delay getting it, because of something you read on the Site.
  • Our “Can dogs/cats eat…?” articles are general guides. They are not a complete list of every risk, and research and guidance change over time.
  • Breed guides describe general traits and tendencies. Individual animals vary, and our guides are not a substitute for advice from a vet, a qualified trainer, or a reputable breeder or rescue.

If your pet may have eaten something harmful

Act now. Do not wait for symptoms, and do not rely on this Site.

  • These services may charge a consultation fee. Numbers can change, so check the service’s official website.
  • Do not try to make your pet vomit or give home remedies unless a veterinarian or poison control expert tells you to.

Signs that need urgent veterinary care include trouble breathing, collapse, seizures, repeated vomiting or diarrhea, bloody stool or vomit, a swollen or hard belly, pale gums, or sudden weakness.

2. Content accuracy and corrections

We work to publish accurate, well-researched information and link to sources where we can. However, the Site’s content is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee it is complete, current, or error-free, and we may change or remove content at any time without notice.

If you spot a mistake, please email [email protected] with the page link and what you think is wrong. We review correction requests and update articles where appropriate.

3. Who may use the Site

The Site is intended for a general adult audience. It is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the Site with a parent or guardian’s involvement.

4. Our content and how you may use it

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and the selection and arrangement of content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. “The Pet’s Sphere” name and logo are our brand names.

Some images and media are used under license from third parties or are royalty-free stock. Those licenses do not allow you to reuse them.

You may:

  • Read, view, and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
  • Share links to our articles.
  • Quote short excerpts with clear credit and a link to the original page.

You may not, without our written permission:

  • Copy, republish, sell, or distribute our content (in whole or substantial part), including on other websites, apps, or social media accounts.
  • Remove copyright or other notices.
  • Frame the Site or present our content as your own.
  • Use automated tools (scrapers, bots, crawlers) to copy content in bulk, or use our content to build, train, or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models or datasets, except for standard search-engine indexing that follows our robots.txt.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Break any law or regulation.
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems, or interfere with its security or operation (for example, through hacking, malware, or denial-of-service attacks).
  • Interfere with or manipulate the Site’s traffic in a fraudulent way (for example, generating fake visits).
  • Send spam, harassing, abusive, or unlawful messages to us.
  • Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your connection to anyone.

We may block access to the Site for anyone who breaks these terms.

6. Affiliate disclosure

We do not currently participate in affiliate programs. If we add affiliate links in the future, we will update this section and disclose them clearly on the pages where they appear.

Product mentions are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for third-party products, their safety, or a retailer’s service.

7. Guest posts and submissions (“Write for Us”)

If you send us a guest post pitch, article, image, or other material (a “Submission”):

  • It must be your own original work and not published elsewhere (unless we agree otherwise). It must not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, and it must not be plagiarized or mainly generated by AI without disclosure.
  • Pet health content must be responsible. Claims should be accurate and supported by reputable sources. Submissions must not give dangerous advice.
  • Disclose any payments or relationships. You must tell us about any compensation, sponsorship, or affiliate relationship connected to your Submission or its links. We may add a disclosure, change links to “sponsored” or “nofollow”, or remove links.
  • We decide what we publish. We may accept, reject, edit (for length, accuracy, clarity, style, SEO, and safety), update, or remove any Submission at any time, without payment unless we agree in writing. We may not reply to every pitch.
  • License to us. You keep ownership of your Submission, but by sending it you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publish, edit, adapt, display, distribute, and promote it (with your author credit where it is published) on the Site and our related channels, in any format.
  • Author details are public. If published, your name, bio, photo, and links you provide will be shown publicly.
  • You are responsible for your Submission. You agree to cover our losses arising from claims that your Submission infringes someone’s rights or breaks the law.
  • Unsolicited ideas. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without obligation to you.

Guest posts reflect the views of their authors, not necessarily ours.

The Site links to other websites, including sources and retailers. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, privacy practices, or availability. Visiting them is at your own risk, and their own terms apply.

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: your contact details; a description of the copyrighted work; the URL of the material on our Site; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We will review notices and remove or disable material where appropriate.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, viruses, or harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Pets Sphere and its owners, writers, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or its content. This includes any injury, illness, or death of a pet or person resulting from reliance on information on the Site.

Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects consumer rights you have under the laws of where you live that cannot be waived by contract.

12. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Pets Sphere and its owners, contributors, and service providers from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or your Submission.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the Site’s operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your home country gives you the right to rely on its laws or to bring a claim in your local courts. Before starting any formal claim, please email us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

14. Changes to the Site and these terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site. We may transfer our rights under these terms, for example if the Site is sold.
